     As long as Upper Playground keeps working with artists such as David Choe, Alex Pardee, Jeremy Fish, Mike Giant, and Sam Flores I'll be happy. The U.P. Portland location is across from Compound so it's easy to find. Connected next door is Fifty 24PDX Gallery where both the store and gallery usually hold events together. Currently on display is "Born Weird" a colorful strange and detailed drawings featuring 28 artists.

     Every time I visit Portland, OR it always appears gloomy and grey, even more than Washington state where I currently live. Because of this illusion it's difficult for me to believe there is a store in Portland such as Compound. More than a store selling street-wear, artworks, and contemporary goods, Compound also holds an art gallery on its second floor. As their mission statement states "their goal is to respond quickly to what is happening in the local, national and international contemporary art scene." Finally a boutique in Portland where I can pick up new Stussy or The Hundreds gear, or new Nikes.

+ london's premiere sneaker store, foot patrol, reopens its doors after a small set back during its "hard times". this time the store will primarily focus of providing new and classic sport shoes, but will still carry a small selection of brands such as supreme, visvim, etc. it is also now under the management of jd sports company (hopefully new collaborations occur between them).

THE HISTORY OF THE GOYARD FAMILY

+ goyard releasing new book. the book includes the history of the goyard family; the achievements during the paris expo universelle in 1900 and the creation of the noble facade of the paris store. but it is more generally about the art of travel and its blossoming in the 20th century from early trains to grand hotels. only 233 copies will be created, for the company’s pariasian flagship store at 233 rue saint honoré, at price tag of 6,000 euros or $7,250.

LOUIS VUITTON MAISON LONDON STORE FINALLY OPEN

+ the three-floor, 15,000-square-foot store opened in london recently with a grand opening reception full of celebrities and models. the store cost over 30 million pounds and of course, will hold a vast selection of lv products. through out the store showcases art pieces by damien hirst, michael landy, jeff koons, takashi murakami, and others. IT'S ABOUT TIME STUSSY!!!

Finally Stussy will be opening a chapter shop here in Seattle, WA this black friday 09. This store will replace the old Bailey/Coy Books shop on Capital Hill and feature Stussy men's, women's and children's clothing and accessories. If you don't know about Stussy it's ok because they've only been around for 30 years. Other chapter store location include New York, Honolulu, Tokyo, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, etc.

NEW NIKE FLAGSHIP STORE IN HARAJUKU

Those who know that Harajuku is one of the most historic fashion sections in Tokyo, Japan will not be surprise that Nike has built a new Nike Flagship Store there. It has just opened over the weekend on Novemeber 14th and has an impressive set-up inside the store.
