+Simply the DC Stussy chapter is another clean Stussy store, with some DC chapter exclusives and seasonal items. On the walls were some of Eric Elms sculptural artwork, who has already done collabos with Stussy before. The manager was real chill and when I asked him if he's ever seen Wale come through the store, he told me he is a regular whenever in town. I also had to pick up a Ben's Chili inspired Stussy shirt only sold in DC.

BOUTIQUES: SKATE ROYALTY

+ Located on 14th Street just off of the U Street Metro stop you can find one of the last surviving skate shops in Washington DC. Palace 5ive, which was named after the District of Columbia's ABL basketball team in the 1920s, has all the skate and lifestyle essentials. They carry all brands from Nike SB to Vans, and have their own clothing and accessory line as well. Talking with the owner he has seen many skate shops come and go in DC, but Palace 5ive has managed to stay open ever since 2004. MY TRIP TO DC: FEW HIGHLIGHTS

+ For spring break I did the opposite of going somewhere tropical and decided to go to Washington DC to not only visit a good friend of mine but take a look inside how our nation is run. To my surprise, within a week I learned more about DC than my first visit there a few of years ago. I spent time in the upper class areas with upscale bars and shopping strips, but also went down to the more urban parts of the city where there were more beggers than any place I've ever been (even worse than my visit to Vietnam).





+ my main mode of transportation was riding the metro, it literally can take you to any part of the city


+ the capital always had something going on whether it was a parade or rally


+ had my first experience with ethiopian food, i recommend it if you like curry




+ my crib for the week
