+ For spring break I did the opposite of going somewhere tropical and decided to go to Washington DC to not only visit a good friend of mine but take a look inside how our nation is run. To my surprise, within a week I learned more about DC than my first visit there a few of years ago. I spent time in the upper class areas with upscale bars and shopping strips, but also went down to the more urban parts of the city where there were more beggers than any place I've ever been (even worse than my visit to Vietnam).
+ my main mode of transportation was riding the metro, it literally can take you to any part of the city
+ the capital always had something going on whether it was a parade or rally
+ had my first experience with ethiopian food, i recommend it if you like curry
+ my crib for the week
