Fata Morgana is an unusual & complex form of a superior mirage | October 3, 2012

Oct 3, 2012

Opening this Friday til October 28 is Tristram Lansdowne's new exhibit Fata Morgana at LE Gallery in Toronto, CA. The new watercolor paintings portray his ongoing investigation of landscape and architecture in relation to ideas of permanence and function. Each piece has richly described scenes from another world with hints of architectural influences that seem to defy logic. Along with the 10 watercolours and five new etched editions, a new sculptural piece entitled Operation Friedensreich (in homage to the late Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser) are included in the exhibit.
