+ "the paintings of jylian gustlin are complex and layered. with her background in computer science and mathematics, she has a heightened understanding of how studying patterns and layers on the computer screen helps her to lay down the bones of a painting while remaining loose enough to maintain an organic and painterly presence." she was on her way on receiving a degree in computer science when she turned over to art and got her bfa at the academy of art university. its amazing how you think you were called to do something in life then transition over to something else.
