+ the stunning art pieces you are looking at are actually old discarded clothes. they are the work of alain guerra and neraldo de la paz, a duo both born in cuba known as guerra de la paz. the sculptures are supposed to explore materialism in our contemporary society and meant to make us think about our “mass-produced refuse.” luckily the artists don't see these abandoned clothes as trash and are able to turn them into something artistic and expressive, whether it is a colorful rainbow or explosion cloud.
+ "through a common aesthetic,we create work with a universal message. using recycled objects as our medium and the guidance of the unrelenting amounts of information that fuels today's mass consciousness and it's subversive parallels. allowing us to explore ways to reinvent historic themes and classic icons while still commenting on contemporary culture." -guerra de la paz
