METALLIC VELCRO

+ This device named 'metaklett' consists of a hook tape and loop tape 0.2 mm thick. These fasteners are resistant to chemicals and can withstand a tensile load of up to 35 tons per square meter at temperatures as high as 800°C. This loop fastener system was developed by researchers at TUM (Technische Universitaet Muenchen) under the leadership of professor Hartmut Hoffmann. Not sure what's a good practical use for this, but this is definitely a step forward from average Velcro tape.
