+ There are millions of artists out their who are trying to make a name for themselves. And the ones who have "made it" are definitely getting paid for what they worked for. If your wondering who the world's wealthiest artists are, you probably have heard of them or seen their work. The list of these artists include: Takashi Murakami, who has a company (Kaikai Kiki Co. Ltd.) that makes paintings, sculptures, Louis Vuitton bags, inflatable balloons, videos, T-shirts, key chains, and plush toys. I remember learning about him after he designed Kanye's graduation album but he has been in the game for years before that. Another is Brice Marden, who became known for his monochrome paintings that he made in the 1970s and his important New York dealer Mary Boone. It also includes Anish Kapoor, who made a $28 million profit alone just in 2008, and overall has earned an estimated $62.7 million from his art pieces.
